Smart phones?

Gebruik het liefst een gewone gsm (met een oortje) en vermijd smartphones.

Een smartphone zoekt steeds verbinding met het internet en zorgt dus voor een voortdurende blootstelling aan hoge stralingsniveaus.

Wanneer u het internet niet gebruikt, schakel dan steeds de WiFi-antenne uit alsook de verbinding met 3G of 4G mobiel internet (mobiele data).

Vermijd het streamen en downloaden van video's en muziek. Installeer zo weinig mogelijk apps, vermijd toepassingen waarbij veel gegevens worden verzonden, pas de instellingen van apps aan zodat er niet continu verbinding wordt gemaakt, verwijder apps die u niet meer gebruikt.

Uw batterij zal zo ook langer meegaan.

 
Finse stralingswetenschapper Dariusz Leszczynski over smartphones:

"The most important point of my talk was that people are not aware of the changes brought by the smart phones. In older phones, used only for calling and texting, the majority of radiation exposure happened during talking on the phone. In smart phones, data traffic that updates continuously a variety of applications, causes that the radiation exposures are continuous and high, not only during conversations but especially during the data traffic..."

"Smartphone radiation exposures are much higher because of the data traffic. Even though one may not be using the phone all the time, there is continuous data flowing from Facebook and other apps such as weather, news update and so on that people have on their phones"
